About me

01 · WHO IS CARLOTA?

Who am I?

“I’ve always been curious about what lies behind people: what we experience, what shapes us, and the stories that explain who we are.”

I’ve always been interested in understanding what drives us, how we cope with change, and how our experiences transform the way we think, feel, and relate to others. Over time, I discovered that this curiosity would also shape my own path. First, it led me to study psychology. Later, it led me to live in other countries, experience new cultures, and enter the corporate world, where I discovered another way of understanding and working with people: within teams and

Understanding people to support their growth

I have always been interested in understanding what drives us, how we cope with change, and how the experiences we go through transform the way we think, feel, and relate to others.

02 · THE ORIGIN OF MY VOCATION

It all started long before I began studying psychology

“For a long time, I thought that asking for help meant admitting that something was wrong with me. Until I realized that it could also be a way to take care of myself.”

It began during a counseling session, when I decided to ask for help. That process allowed me to pause, ask myself questions I hadn’t asked before, and discover that things could also be different. That’s when I realized the value of being able to speak without judgment, make sense of what I was going through, and gain a different perspective on what was happening. Before becoming a psychologist, I was also a patient. And that experience continues to shape the way I understand the t

Australia, my second home.

I lived in Brisbane, Queensland, for five years. More than just a stint in another country, it was an opportunity to build a life from scratch: to navigate life in another language, build a new support network, and discover a way of life very different from the one I knew. During those years, I worked in various fields, developed my independence, and discovered new ways of living and relating to people. I also learned to cope with uncertainty and to adapt when things didn’t go as planned.

The World as a School

“Traveling has also been a way to learn”

Six months traveling through Southeast Asia, road trips through Tasmania and New Zealand, trips around Europe… and various periods of working online while developing my own project. Changing countries, languages, environments, and routines so many times has taught me to navigate new situations, make decisions on the fly, and find my own way of doing things even when I wasn’t quite sure which path to take. Many of the skills that are now part of who I am, I built up over time

03 · BEYOND WORK

“A Little More About Me”

I need the ocean. I love traveling, discovering new places and meeting new people, but I’m also very much a homebody: a long conversation, a meal with my family, or an impromptu get-together with friends always hold a special place in my heart. I like to write, play sports, eat well, and spend time on the things that interest me. I read, listen to podcasts, practice mindfulness, and also go to therapy. I’m especially interested in human behavior, relationships, and all those conversations that go on longer than
